From July 17 to 23, 2025, LOD took part as a sponsor in NanoValbruna, the international youth forum for environmental regeneration held annually in the heart of the Julian Alps, in Valbruna (UD), Italy.

This event gave us the opportunity to connect with a dynamic community of researchers, businesses, activists, students, and innovators, all united by a shared vision: a sustainable future.

The 2025 edition, titled “Regenerating Without Borders", focused on the connections between the environment, territory, and innovation. In our daily work, we specialize in measuring and managing odor impact in industrial contexts. However, we are fully aware that sustainability is not built through technical tools alone—it also requires vision, culture, and active participation.

Why NanoValbruna matters to us

We chose to support NanoValbruna because it speaks our language: the language of listening, concrete commitment, and regeneration.

Its educational and participatory mission brings the value of the environment back to the forefront -not only as a physical space to protect, but as a social and cultural ecosystem to be supported with responsibility. In our technical and scientific approach, we believe it is essential to integrate expertise, dialogue, and awareness.Sustainability, above all, is a mindset. And NanoValbruna embodies exactly that.

Celebrating entrepreneurial vision and emerging talent: the Baite Award

One of the key moments of the festival was the Baite Award, the international contest that recognizes innovative startup projects and entrepreneurial ideas.

For the fourth consecutive year, our President Adriano Luci served as a jury member, alongside representatives from the academic and scientific communities, evaluating eight proposals submitted by young students, researchers, and startup founders from around the world.

One group, one shared vision: Gesteco’s contribution

As part of the festival,  Gesteco, another company within the Gruppo Luci, collaborated with EnAIP FVG to support the technical organization of the seminar “Successfully Driving Sustainable Innovation”, held as part of the Baite Workshop.

The event, developed through the GreenFor Academy project, provided young participants with practical tools and project methodologies, strengthening the connection between education, business, and territorial regeneration.

The joint presence of LOD and Gesteco at an event like NanoValbruna reflects the identity of the Gruppo Luci: distinct companies united by a common thread, the promotion of a culture of sustainability.

Not merely an institutional presence, but a genuine expression of the alliance between business culture and care for the local territory.

Youth, communities, and the future at NanoValbruna

Ringraziamo ReGeneration Hub Friuli, associazione organizzatrice del festival, per aver creato anche quest’anno uno spazio di confronto, dialogo e crescita collettiva.

NanoValbruna was also a moment for us to pause and listen, to connect with experiences, projects, and perspectives that enrich our everyday work.

Witnessing firsthand the talent of so many young people committed to concrete environmental projects makes us proud to contribute to building a conscious technical community, capable of addressing the complexity of the ecological transition.

We would like to thank ReGeneration Hub Friuli, the organization behind the festival, for once again creating a space for dialogue, exchange, and collective growth.

The participation of the Gruppo Luci companies in NanoValbruna is rooted in a shared vision that combines entrepreneurial drive with social responsibility.

We believe that sustainability and innovation are not separate worlds, but synergistic forces that enable us to effectively tackle environmental challenges.

Every day, we work to optimize processes, improve business performance, and generate positive impact in the environmental sector, without ever losing sight of the value of the environment and the communities in which we operate.

And we believe in young people, in their creativity, their energy, and their ability to drive change.

That’s why we support events like NanoValbruna.

Because building a regenerative future means moving forward together: business and territory, technical expertise and vision.
